Ever wonder what’s tucked away behind the trees near Langdon park? On September 17th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we’re inviting you to discover a local treasure and explore the Langdon Park Forest Patch—a peaceful sanctuary many of us drive past daily but rarely see. We’re keeping the walk gentle and accessible for everyone, followed by lunch in the Green Valley Apartments' community room. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy a refreshing change of scenery—the kind that feels like a true getaway, all without traveling far from home. You’ll be joined by your neighbors and event leaders, Delores Bushong (Langdon Park Forest Steward) and Melanie Weldon-Soiset (poet), who will help guide the experience. Please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothes for our short stroll. We will gather in the lobby of the Green Valley Apartments (2412 Franklin Street NE).
