About this event
Come join GBIV members Sharon White, Lorene Goins, and Laura Worby on a visit to the National Museum of Women in the Arts. The museum centers historic and contemporary work by women artists, and is free on the first Sunday of every month. Current exhibits include the photography-based art of Tawny Chatmon, entitled Sanctuaries of Truth, Dissolution of Lies, an exhibit entitled Ruth Orkin: Women on the Move, by a photojournalist who portrayed women breaking free of rigid gender roles, and Remix: The Collection, featuring a wide variety of works from the museum's global collection in a range of mediums. If you'd like to go down together, meet us on the Brookland Metro platform at 1:30 pm. If you'd like to join us at the museum, meet us in the lobby at 2 pm at 1250 New York Ave NW, one block from Metro Center station, exit 13th and G Sts. NW.
The museum suggest you reserve your spot -
