HOLIDAY MEAL GIVEAWAY: Sign Up to Reserve a Free Holiday Meal 

Let’s spread holiday cheer! 

GBIV is once again partnering with Bluebird Sky Yoga to sponsor a free holiday meal giveaway, generously donated by Lifeworks, a catering company which is part of Aramark Food Service. The event will take place on Thursday, December 18th from 12:30PM to 3:00 PM at Bluebird Sky Yoga Studio, 3101 12th St. NE.

With the significant job loss and social upheaval in the Washington, DC area this past year, we are prioritizing outreach to Ward 5 seniors who may be socially isolated and to families or individuals experiencing financial hardship. We encourage members not only to sign up for meals, but to also invite and help register neighbors who may not know about GBIV but would benefit from a free holiday meal.

Use this form https://bit.ly/HolidayMeal25 to reserve holiday meals or share it with someone in need. Meals will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations will close once all 125 meals have been reserved. (An additional 50 meals will be delivered to the residents of Green Valley apartments.) The current deadline for meal sign-ups is Sunday, December 14th at midnight, or until all meals are claimed.

GBIV will make an effort to deliver meals to Ward 5 neighbors who are unable to pick up their meal in person.
