An Introduction to Langdon Park Forest Patch
Join Delores Bushong (GBIV member) and Mary Pat Rowan, Langdon Park Forest Stewards, on an informational walk through the Langdon Park Forest Patch to learn about their work to bring this community treasure back to health. They have been working in the forest patch since March 2020 cutting back invasive vines and using Assisted Natural Regeneration to encourage tree seedlings, over 2000 new trees at this time. Wear sturdy shoes for an hour-long walk on uneven ground. This event is limited to 12 people. Saturday, April 19, 1:30-4 PM. We will end with light refreshments at Delores’ home. Children are welcome. Be mindful to keep them on the path to avoid poison ivy exposure. (In the event of rain, the walk will be held on Wednesday, April 23 from 1:30-4 PM).
