MULTITASKING - DISPELLING THE MYTH
Wednesday, July 17th, at 2:30 pm on Zoom

How often do we multitask and even think it’s a plus? Well contrary to popular thinking, new research shows that multitasking should be avoided. It actually slows you down and can even trip you up. Please join Dr. Janson for a discussion and demonstration of the effects of multitasking on your balance and risk of falling and what you can do about it. Please have a small ball or other object that you can easily pass from hand to hand for the activities.

Dr. Sophia Janson has almost 30 years of experience as a physical therapist. She is board certified in Geriatric Physical Therapy and understands how the aging process impacts balance and falls risk. The majority of her clinical experience is in home health care which includes home safety assessments and Falls prevention instruction. She is a clinical instructor for physical therapy with George Washington University.
